Difficulties with choosing a crusher for plastic

Many manufacturing companies working with polymers are faced with the problem of recycling plastic waste. Throwing away plastic in large quantities is not economically viable. But, before using it again, you need plastic crusher, preparing waste into demanded raw materials. The choice of equipment will significantly improve the technological process and reduce the amount of waste to a minimum.

Design differences

At its core, crushers are very simple. But, there are a number of features that should be considered when choosing equipment for everyday use. Crushing or grinding is carried out using a rotor that rotates at high speeds inside the crusher body. The knives located in the chamber with the rotor can be of various shapes:

  1. Straight - at an angle of 90 degrees relative to the movable rotor.
  2. Double - more efficient shredding of films and PET containers.
  3. Inclined - they tend to independently capture and drag the material into the crushing chamber.

Each design has its own advantages. The choice is made exclusively by the type of polymers that will be crushed inside the crusher. In addition, some types of crushers can complement the design with stationary and movable knives, which affect the performance of the plant and its cost for the consumer.

The advantage of industrial installations

Attempting to make a crusher yourself leads to difficulties in finding the necessary materials and solving many engineering problems. As a result, the resulting plant, as a rule, does not have the necessary productivity, mediocre shreds plastic and consumes a large amount of electrical energy. The equipment made by specialists has its advantages:

  • minimum sizes relative to performance;
  • good protection against mechanical damage to the installation;
  • well-balanced electric motor;
  • Convenience of supplying raw materials and collecting crushed plastic;
  • ease of maintenance and repair of the crusher.

The availability of spare parts additionally affects the positive qualities of industrial installations. As the blades or the rotor wear out, they can be replaced by simply ordering the necessary parts from the manufacturer. Standardization makes the replacement process simple and without the need for subsequent design refinement.
