Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) implements a strategy aimed at attracting and retaining modern youth, increases the level of workplace automation, adapts the motivation system and expands opportunities for self-realization of employees in accordance with their expectations. Natalia Babilurova, Director of Personnel Management at Pervouralsky Novotrubny Zavod (PNTZ), a branch of TMK, shared these successful practices at the INNOPROM-2026 International Industrial Exhibition.
A representative of TMK spoke at the panel discussion "HR Brand 4.0: why old methods don't pull new production", organized by the Institute of Economics and Management of the Ural Federal University named after B.
N. Yeltsin. During the meeting, the experts discussed the transformation of approaches to human capital management, the motivation of young professionals and key competencies necessary for the successful development of industrial enterprises in the next five years.
Natalia Babilurova shared the best practices for increasing the attractiveness of the employer's brand and attracting young applicants. She presented the company's multi—level strategy for working with young people, from early career guidance in kindergartens and schools to secondary vocational education, and also spoke about the features of TMK's existing project management system and professional competitions to retain talents and involve them in production processes. It includes a whole program of events, including the annual youth scientific and practical conference, which allows specialists to propose ideas for optimization and efficiency improvement, as well as the "Games of Masters" professional skills competition. The implementation of these cases, developed under the guidance of curators, brings significant economic benefits to the company, and the winners receive recognition and the opportunity for rapid career growth.
"TMK is responding to the challenges of Generation Z, for which not only financial conditions are a priority, but also the opportunity to influence business processes, self-realization, and self-improvement. We are diversifying our development programs to include scientific, sports, creative, and volunteer tracks so that every specialist can realize their talents and abilities. In addition, to consolidate young professionals at enterprises, there are programs to help young families and maintain health, included in a balanced social package," Natalia Babilurova emphasized.
