In January of 2019 in US Steel Kosice said the investment in the amount of 130 million U.S. dollars in a new line for the production of electrical steel. The production capacity of the new line is projected at 100 000 tonnes per year. Its construction was to begin in mid-2019 and was over in the fourth quarter of 2020.
