Previously, the government of France agreed to provide financial support for Renault stricken by a pandemic coronavirus. In return, the group must fulfill a number of conditions, in particular, to produce more electric cars and to participate in the German-French project for the development and production of batteries.

Nissan, part of Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi, also reduces the state. The Spanish authorities promised to do everything possible to prevent close car group's plant in Barcelona, which employs 3 000 people. There are also held mass protests.
