In April 2023, China recorded a steady increase in coal production, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China.
According to the agency, 380 million tons of raw coal were mined in the country last month, up 4 .5% increase year on year.
In the first four months of this year, coal production in China increased by 4.8% year on year to 1.53 billion tons, the department said.
In January-April this year, China imported a total of 140 million tons of coal, which is 88.8% more compared to the same period in 2022.
