The Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine decided to prepare for an all-Ukrainian protest

The Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine has decided to prepare for a general all-Ukrainian protest of miners. The chairman announced this on his Facebook page Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine Mykhailo Volynets.

He recalled that at present, due to non-payment of wages, miners of four state mines "Gornaya", "Novodruzheskaya", "Carbonite" in the Luhansk region and mine No. 9 "Novovolynskaya" of the State Enterprise "Volynugol" in Volyn are on strike. /p>

“The new executive power, just like the previous one, demonstrates its inability and misunderstanding of the fact that in some enterprises wages have not been paid for four months. I would like to feel the responsible and effective role of the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection and without delay, ”Volynets said.

Earlier it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, during a meeting on October 12, prepared amendments to the state budget of Ukraine in 2019 and allocated a billion hryvnia to pay off wage arrears to miners.

In early October, the head of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Vitaliy Komarnitskiy said that the development of coal mining enterprises in this region alone needed at least UAH 1.5 billion.

Recall that during 2016-2018, Ukraine used the method of tariff formation "Rotterdam + ", according to which the cost of coal was determined on the basis of import parity (the basis was the API2 index of the European coal hub "Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp " "). The purpose of this was to increase government funding for the coal industry.

According to M. Volynets' information, for 2016-2018, thanks to the "Rotterdam + " formula, additional revenues of state mines amounted to about 10 billion hryvnia, which miners never saw.
