The Verkhovna Rada has registered a government bill No. 2283 dated 10/17/2019 on amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2019 ", which provides for an increase in expenses for solving priority and priority tasks.

In particular, the bill provides for the allocation of 1 billion hryvnia to "balance the financial condition of state-owned coal mining enterprises and provide financial sources for the payment of wages to miners, as well as to prevent the mines from disconnecting from the electricity supply."

Earlier it was reported that miners of the Ukrainian state mines intend to start an all-Ukrainian strike if their legal demands for payment of wage arrears are ignored.

According to the chairman of the independent trade union of miners of Ukraine Mykhailo Volynets, the total debt to the miners today is much more than 1 billion hryvnia.

"Miners are extremely exhausted both physically and mentally" - M. Volynets reported on his Facebook page.
