Subdivisions of SE "VostGOK " resumed work after forced temporary downtime

On January 2, all VostGOK subdivisions resumed work after a forced temporary downtime and began to implement the production program for January 2020. A set of measures for labor protection and preparation of machines and equipment for safe operation was carried out in advance.

During November-December 2019, uranium ore was mined at the Ingulskaya and Novokonstantinovskaya mines, a stock of raw materials was accumulated both at the GMZ and at the mines' warehouses for the smooth operation of the uranium production of the hydrometallurgical plant, which is scheduled to start on January 8. Dneprodzerzhinsk Chemical Plant ensured full production of hafnium-nickel alloys in November-December last year and began work on the implementation of production plans for 2020.

Vostochny Ore Mining and Processing Plant is one of 28 uranium mining centers in the world, among which it is in the top ten, and is also the largest in Europe. SE "VostGOK" is the only enterprise in Ukraine that ensures the extraction of natural uranium and the production of its oxide concentrate.

At the end of December 2019, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine took into custody in absentia the former Deputy General Director of the State Enterprise "VostGOK" Igor Goloborodko, whom NABU and SAP suspect of embezzling 25.4 million UAH of the plant.
