Since the beginning of 2020, at the headframe of the Gvardeyskaya mine of the Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant (KZhRK), preparations are underway to replace the skip hoisting unit (SPU) with a foreign car from ABB AB, Sweden (SPUs of this manufacturer are installed at the Ternovskaya and "October"). The project director for the replacement of the SPU is acting. Sergey Bugreev, technical director of the plant, and Yuri Berezovsky, leading engineer of the department of chief mechanic of the Gvardeyskaya mine, supervising the reconstruction.
Work is being carried out at the headframe of the Gvardeiskaya-1 mine (South Shaft) at elevations "+82 m" - a room for the hoisting machine operator and an oil station of the brake system are being built, "+77 m" - reconstruction of the entire floor where the system will be located cooling of the machine's electric motor (a new concrete floor is being built), "+49 m" - construction of a room where the electric drive converter will be located, "+42 m" - construction of a room for a power transformer, an excitation transformer, as well as a cooling system for an electric drive converter. The work is carried out by employees of the mine, the mine of the construction and mine assembly departments, the repair and construction shop, the repair and mechanical plant and the motor depot. Contractors have also been involved, which have already replaced windows on all floors of the headframe, repair the ventilation system, reconstruct the power cells of the mine substation, and are engaged in diamond cutting of concrete.
The drive power of the new SPU will be 5 thousand kW, the lifting capacity of the skips will be 40 tons, the previous machine could lift 25 tons of torches. The old machine has already worked out its technical resource and has worn out mechanical and electrical components of the equipment, its capabilities allow the delivery of rock mass while maintaining the carrying capacity from a depth of no more than 1350 m. Crushing and bunker complex, from which the SPU skips are loaded, located at a horizon of 1412 m . The extraction of raw ore is carried out on the floor of 1350-1270 m. This floor is the last possible horizon, which the miners mine using the operating equipment.
The new lifting unit will allow:
- to issue ore from the underlying horizons - 1430 m, 1510 m;
- extend the life cycle of the Gvardeiskaya mine for more than 25 years
- to increase the volume of recoverable reserves by 25,200,000 tons,
- to reduce operating costs for electricity by 43% by reducing the specific indicator of electricity consumption by 3.41 kW * h /t or 5610 MW * h based on 1650 thousand tons of crude ore per year;
- improve the reliability of the SPU operation,
- eliminate the risk of an emergency stop in production.
According to the calculation of the productivity of the new SPU mine "Gvardeiskaya-1", its capacity will be sufficient to provide lifting capabilities for both you to produce raw ore (1650 thousand tons per year) and rock mass from the excavation and construction of new horizons (30 thousand Cubic meters per year). The lifting depth will be 1870 m, which is comparable to 6 horizons, and corresponds to 30-35 years of stable operation.
The planned shutdown period of the mine during the replacement of the hoisting machine is 40 days. During this time, workings must be carried out on underground horizons, blocks prepared, and current repairs carried out. Such work is planned to be carried out in the spring of 2021.
