The Mechanical Repair Plant of the Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Combine not only repairs and modernizes equipment and machinery, but also manufactures parts, structures and equipment with its own hands, meeting the needs of mines and structural divisions of the enterprise.
At the end of April, the workers of the plant started to manufacture new products - mine cars for the intra-mine transport section of the Ternovskaya mine. All the details were produced by the workers of the structural unit on their own in the factory, except for the wheelsets.
“Manufacturing of wagons is a team work and in order for a mine wagon to appear, it is necessary to carry out a lot of production operations and involve many specialists in the work. This is a laborious, arduous and painstaking process. The mine car is a complex mechanism that has its own functionality and is designed for the transportation of ore and waste rock ", - said the chief engineer of the repair and mechanical plant Ilya Babaev.
On May 24, the first batch - 5 cargo mine cars - arrived at the Ternovskaya mine. They will be operated by the drivers of the electric locomotive of the VShT section on the horizon of 1,425 meters. According to the chief mechanic of the mine, the products are manufactured at a high technological level.
Public Joint Stock Company "Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant" - the legal successor of PO "Kryvbassruda" - is the largest enterprise in Ukraine for the extraction of iron ore by the underground method. The structure of the plant includes four mines: "Rodina", "Gvardeyskaya", named after Lenin, "Oktyabrskaya". Their rhythmic work is ensured by auxiliary subdivisions: a repair and mechanical plant, a mine-building and mine-assembling department, a motor depot, a railway transport department, a repair-construction and power plant, a central power laboratory, a material and technical supply base.
