This year Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant has already manufactured eight ball mills with central unloading model MShTs (R) 3600x5000 for Yuzhny GOK. Five have already been shipped to the customer and are being assembled, three are being prepared for shipment, the press service of NKMZ reported.
“Ball mill with central discharge MShTs (R) 3600x5000 is the result of modernization of the ball mill with discharge through the grate. The change in the unloading scheme made it possible to improve the technological scheme of raw material enrichment at Yuzhny GOK and to increase the productivity of the concentrator by up to 10%. Ukrainian miners highly appreciate the quality and technical characteristics of Novokramatorsk machines. Eight more mills of the same type, also intended for Yuzhny GOK, are currently in production, ”the message says.
The Southern Ore Mining and Processing Plant is the firstborn among the mining and processing plants of the Krivoy Rog iron ore basin. Having become the first enterprise in Kryvbas specializing in the extraction and processing of ferruginous magnetite quartzites with the production of iron ore concentrate and blast furnace agglomerate, Yuzhny GOK remains the flagship of the Ukrainian mining industry today.
In January-August of this year, Yuzhny GOK increased the output of iron ore concentrate by 1.2% compared to the same period last year - up to 8.67 million tons.
Yuzhny GOK is controlled by the Metinvest group of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky and by Lanebrook Ltd., which at the end of 2007 acquired a 50% stake in the mining and processing plant from Igor Kolomoisky's Privat Group.
