According to the company's official information, YuGOK produced 316.9 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate in April, and 411 thousand tons in March.

Southern Mining and Processing Plant (YUGOK, Dnepropetrovsk region) in January-April this year reduced the production of iron ore concentrate by 24% compared to the same period last year - up to 3.12 million tons. According to the company's official information, YuGOK produced 316.9 thousand tons of iron ore concentrate in April, and 411 thousand tons in March.

“The third month of YuGOK's work in wartime conditions followed. The enterprise continues to implement the production program for the production of iron ore concentrate. (…) Part of the marketable products was shipped to the Zaporizhstal metallurgical plant. There is no possibility of sending raw materials to Asia and North Africa,” the company said on Monday.

It is also noted that YUGOK has completed the modernization of the power supply substation for the production equipment of the first ore processing plant. Specialists installed modern units with microprocessor protection. The project will increase the reliability of the technological sections No. 9-10 and the vacuum pump shop.

As reported, YuGOK in January-March this year reduced the production of iron ore concentrate by 8.7% compared to the same period last year - to 2.8 million tons. YuGOK in January-February this year increased the production of iron ore concentrate by 19.2% compared to the same period last year - up to 2.39 million tons. In February 2022, YuGOK produced 1.15 million tons of iron ore concentrate.

In 2021, YuGOK increased the output of iron ore concentrate by 6.1% compared to 2020, to 13 million 581.8 thousand tons.

Yuzhny GOK is one of the main producers of iron ore raw materials in Ukraine - concentrate. Engaged in the extraction and enrichment of poor ferruginous quartzites with the production of iron ore concentrate. The raw material base of the plant is made up of quartzites from the Skelevatsky deposit, located in the central part of the Krivoy Rog iron ore basin. YuGOK is controlled by Metinvest Group and Lanebrook Ltd. (previously the majority shareholder of Evraz Group, in 2018 withdrew from the shareholders of the group), which at the end of 2007 acquired a 50% stake in YuGOK from the Privat group (Dnepr).
