The US Department of Commerce has sent out subpoenas to several Chinese companies that provide information and communications technology and services (ICTS) in the United States.
“The Biden-Harris administration has made it clear that the unrestricted use of unreliable ICTS poses a threat to national security. Beijing belittles our technological edge and jeopardizes our unions. "- stated US Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo.
The Ministry promised to thoroughly check all Chinese companies operating in the US information services market and decide on possible actions that "will best protect the safety of American companies, American workers and US national security."
Earlier today, the US Department of Commerce announced the expansion of sanctions against Russian companies associated with the production of chemical weapons.
