In the second half of 2022, the Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) expects to introduce a new product to the market - a line of pipes for hydrogen transportation, manufactured in accordance with the requirements of international standards. At present, tests are being completed within the framework of the project, a report on the results of testing will be ready in July, the press service of TMK reports.
"As part of the upcoming transition to low-carbon energy sources, the company will continue to supply its products for combined cycle generation, nuclear energy, renewable energy sources, and also intends to supply pipes for projects in the field of hydrogen energy and offer solutions for fuels such as " green" ammonia, biodiesel and biomethane.
If we talk about the forecast for the development of products for the energy transition, TMK analyzed the current portfolio and came to the conclusion that at the moment it occupies about 15% of the total supply. The company will continue to increase the share of these products and is confident in the prospect of demand for it.
As hydrogen energy develops, TMK products will be in demand at various technological stages of production, transportation and storage of this fuel. We are talking about"yellow " and"blue " and"green " hydrogen. Today, new lines of pipe products for hydrogen energy are being created - Sputnik H and Sputnik C. Sputnik H will include pipes for the production and distribution, transportation and storage of hydrogen. Sputnik C is a product for CO2 capture and distribution, transportation and storage,” the press release says.
