On June 8, 2022, JSC AVTOVAZ resumed the production of cars - the first LADA Granta Classic of the 2022 model year rolled off the assembly line. LADA Granta in the presented configuration will become the most affordable new passenger car on the Russian market. The model was designed to ensure the maximum possible localization of the car, eliminating the impact of a shortage of imported components. Compared to the standard LADA Granta Classic, the list of standard equipment in the Granta Classic'22 configuration has changed: it has been added to improve the design and comfort of the system, which were previously characteristic only for higher versions. These are painted door moldings, heated and power mirrors, and 15-inch alloy wheels are available as an option. audio preparation with 4 speakers, steel 14-inch wheels with decorative caps. The car is equipped with a reliable and economical engine with a capacity of 90 hp. paired with a manual transmission. Also, LADA Granta's inalienable qualities are a spacious interior with the possibility of transformation, and a suspension that combines high cross-country ability and energy intensity. The cost of the new configuration will be announced in the near future. The Classic’22 configuration will be available for the LADA Granta family in sedan, lifeback and station wagon bodies, as well as for the special Drive Active modification. Maxim Sokolov, President of JSC AVTOVAZ: “Today, after a significant pause, AVTOVAZ resumed production of cars. Ensuring the employment of the car factory staff is one of the top priorities for us. And of course, we must continue to produce on the Russian market the most popular and affordable cars, which will not be affected by the shortage of foreign components. To this end, the enterprise, together with the federal and regional authorities, is intensively working to develop the competencies of Russian suppliers.”
