AvtoVAZ returned to a full working week amid growing demand for new LADA

From August 29, 2022, all enterprises and subsidiaries of the AVTOVAZ Group, including the LADA-Izhevsk plant, switched to a full 5-day working week. At the same time, a 6-day working week with a sliding day off was introduced in the AVTOVAZ car assembly complex in Togliatti.Maxim Sokolov, President of AVTOVAZ JSC:

“Today we switched to a full-fledged five-day work schedule, and the car assembly complex in Togliatti will work 6 days a week with a sliding day off. These measures are necessary to meet the demand for new LADA cars, which has grown significantly thanks to the concessional lending program introduced by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. From the beginning of autumn, we will also open additional recruitment of personnel for our assembly lines in Tolyatti.” “I sincerely thank the entire AVTOVAZ team, which was able to normalize the situation at our plants in Togliatti and Izhevsk in the shortest possible time and, despite the difficult situation of sanctions pressure, restart the production of cars . In less than 3 months we were able to create a special version of Granta, which is less dependent on imported components. Even today, this model is equipped as standard with the usual safety and comfort options - airbags, the Era-Glonass system, air conditioning and other equipment. The production of SUVs of the NIVA family - Legend and Travel - has also been restarted. This is a real victory for the entire AVTOVAZ team,” Maxim Sokolov emphasized.
