The drastic restructuring of BRAZ began in 2023. Two new buildings are being built on the territory of the enterprise, with a total length of about one and a half kilometers.

The electrolysis buildings under construction will be equipped with the most modern RA-550 electrolyzers operating using the technology of a pre-fired anode with a current of 550 kiloamps. This is the company's own development, which will significantly reduce the burden on the environment.
The construction site is currently undergoing the installation of metal structures, a pile field, and a foundation part. The contractor is starting the construction of additional auxiliary facilities – an anode installation department, logistics warehouses, and gas purification plants. Contracts for the supply of basic equipment have been concluded.
During the construction of the new electrolysis buildings, the general contractor completed the construction of metal frame structures and concrete pouring at four of the six sites, said Igor Volokhov, Managing Director of PJSC Rusal Bratsk.,
"The remaining readiness is above 65%. More than 650 people and over 60 units of various construction equipment are involved in the construction site."

Bratsk Aluminum Plant (BrAZ) of RUSAL is one of the world's largest producers and exporters of primary aluminum. The production capacity of the plant is about 1 million tons. The first launch complex of the plant was commissioned in 1966.
