According to ASCO information provided to Trend, the ship's construction project has reached the stage of completing the assembly of the main hull units. Currently, the ship is undergoing work on the installation of pipelines, electrical cables, ventilation systems, mechanical equipment, as well as insulation of premises.

Unlike previous RoPax-type vessels, a number of improvements have been applied in this project. These include the installation of a three-ton service crane, the placement of additional air tanks, the installation of a power system for refrigerated containers, as well as the installation of a hazardous gas detection system in the cargo hold and an additional fire fighting system as part of the foam system. A number of technical solutions were also optimized.

As with the previously built ferries Azerbaijan and Zarifa Aliyev, the main parameters of the new vessel will be: maximum speed — 14 knots, length — 154.5 meters, width — 17.7 meters, side height — 7.5 meters. According to the cargo and passenger capacity, the vessel will be able to carry up to 100 passengers and simultaneously receive either 56 tank wagons or 50 trucks.

The new ferry is important for updating the ASCO fleet and increasing the country's transit potential. Like other vessels of this type, it will be used to transport cargo and passengers across the Caspian Sea, including as part of the Medium-range Transport Corridor.
