A special investment contract (SPIC) has been signed in the Ivanovo Region between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the regional government and the Verkhnevolzhsky SMC (DiPOS) company. The agreement provides for the modernization of the full-cycle metalworking industry.

The project is aimed at creating a modern production of latticed flooring, bent channel, shelving shelves and painted metal products to replace imports with a localization level of 100%. The volume of investments will amount to 2.3 billion rubles, the contract term is 7 years. Financing is provided from own and borrowed funds, including support from the Industrial Development Fund.

As part of the contract, a new workshop with an area of 20 thousand square meters has already been built and highly automated lines have been purchased. The project will create more than 50 jobs, increase productivity and produce competitive products for the construction, logistics and engineering industries.

As Yulia Tumanova, General Director of the Agency for Attracting Investments in the region, noted, SPIC provides stable conditions for businesses and simplifies obtaining state support. This is the third special investment contract in the Ivanovo region. The previous ones were aimed at modernizing the production of special equipment and the production of innovative polymer materials.
