President of the FESCO Transport Group Arkady Korostelev arrived in Vladivostok, where he held a meeting with the heads of the companies of the group and maritime organizations of the Far East. At the meeting, he introduced the new General Director of Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP, part of the FESCO group) Roman Kukharuk to the audience, and also announced his intention to meet with representatives of the workforce of the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port to normalize the situation as soon as possible.

FESCO dockers are holding an action in support of the dismissed general director Zairbek Yusupov, to which the president of the transport group Arkady Korostelev went. When he went to the microphone, he and his colleagues of the strike participants began to boo him, throw helmets over him, and demand that he leave. As a result, the dialogue that was planned to be held did not work.

The representative of FESCO, whom the port employees believe to be involved in the dismissal of Zairbek Yusupov, first hid with his hands from helmets flying at him, and then tried to leave. On the way, he was kicked in the back, and then the crowd began to grab his clothes and beat him with their hands.

As a result, the President of FESCO managed to get to the car, which quickly left. After him, the crowd chanted the name of the ex-CEO. Then the workers returned to the stage, where they said that this is only the beginning of how they stand for their leader. The rally continues.

FESCO President Arkady Korostelev and General Director of the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMTP) Roman Kukharuk, who were showered with helmets by protesters VMTP dockers, turned to law enforcement agencies, the company said. FESCO noted that managers were injured.

“The representative of the trade union asked to come and answer the questions of the protesters dockers. However, upon arrival, they were not asked a single question, but began to throw helmets and attack, ”FESCO said in a statement sent to the media. The company noted that Mr. Korostelev and Mr. Kukharuk did not get into a brawl and left.

The conflict between the employees and the management of VMTP began after the change of management in the port. On September 30, the supervisory board of the port dismissed Zairbek Yusupov, General Director of the Commercial Sea Port. The workers demanded to restore it, preserve social guarantees and explain the reasons for the resignation. At the same time, there is a shareholder conflict in FESCO between businessman Ziyavudin Magomedov (owns 32.5% of FESCO) and the companies NovatorInvest, Nautilius and Domidias Ltd (owns 33.9% of FESCO). Mark Garber's GHP Group sold 23.8% of FESCO due to a combination of conflict and pandemic. RBC's source calls her the buyer of the owners of one of the three companies opposing Ziyavudin Magomedov.

FESCO is one of the largest private transport and logistics companies in Russia with assets in the port, railway and integrated logistics business. FESCO's diversified portfolio of assets allows for door-to-door delivery of goods and controls all stages of the intermodal transport chain. The FESCO Group owns PJSC Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port with an annual capacity of 5 million tons of general cargo and oil products, 150 thousand vehicles and wheeled vehicles and 600 thousand TEU of container cargo.
