Modern medical equipment was delivered to the regional infectious diseases hospital, as well as city hospitals No. 1, 2, 7, 9 and an emergency and ambulance hospital.
“Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation has united the efforts of business to save human lives throughout Ukraine. We are in constant contact with doctors, so we understand the needs of hospitals and provide timely assistance to medical institutions. This is our contribution to the fight against the pandemic, to the fight for human lives, "said the General Director of Zaporizhstal Alexander Mironenko.
Note that when Ukraine faced the COVID-19 pandemic, Rinat Akhmetov was the first to come to the rescue. About UAH 500 million was allocated to fight the coronavirus within the framework of the Fight against COVID-19 in Ukraine project - part of the Rinat Akhmetov - Saving Lives program. This is the most systemic and large-scale private initiative aimed at helping public health facilities in the fight against coronavirus disease.
In the shortest possible time, reference hospitals across the country received 216 ventilators, more than 300 thousand express tests, more than 200 thousand personal protective equipment and consumables, 155 oxygen concentrators. In total, over 500 medical institutions throughout the country received the Foundation's assistance. The scale of assistance is unprecedented, and the project "Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine" has increased the level of quality of medical services in the country.
As a reminder, in April 2021, a modern oxygen station was commissioned at the Zaporizhzhya Regional Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital, the construction of which was financed by the Zaporizhstal plant of Metinvest Group with the support of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation.
