In its activities, PrJSC "AZOT" uses chemical compounds such as urea-formaldehyde resin, accompanied by emissions of ammonia, nitrogen oxides, suspended dust particles of ammonium nitrate into the air.

The Environmental Inspectorate began checking the largest producer of nitrogen fertilizers in Ukraine

In the course of the planned control measure, specialists from the Department of State Environmental Supervision (Control) of Industrial Pollution of the Office of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine will conduct a comprehensive check of the impact of production activities on atmospheric air, water and land resources. This was reported by the press service of the State Ecological Inspectorate.

In particular, the inspectors will check the company's compliance with the requirements of the legislation on waste management, namely, their placement on the territory of a business entity.

PJSC "AZOT" is located in Cherkasy and is part of Dmitry Firtash's OSTCHEM holding, which unites a group of chemical enterprises producing mineral fertilizers, organic acids, titanium dioxide, soda ash, liquid nitrogen and other chemical products.

In its activities, PrJSC "AZOT" uses chemical compounds such as urea-formaldehyde resin, accompanied by emissions of ammonia, nitrogen oxides, suspended dust particles of ammonium nitrate into the air.

Verification will take 10 working days. The results will be announced later.
