Air Products and Tyssenkrupp agreed an exclusive strategic partnership for the creation and operation of industrial electrolysis plants for the production of "green" hydrogen.

Air Products and Tyssenkrupp will work together to sell "green" hydrogen

a World leader in the field of industrial gases Air Products, the global leader in technologies and solutions for industrial electrolysis plants Thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers, announced the signing of a strategic cooperation Agreement (SCA).

"In the framework of an exclusive cooperation both companies will use their experience in technology, engineering and project management for the development of projects to supply green hydrogen in key regions", - stated in the press release of the German industrial concern Thyssenkrupp.

German experts will provide the consortium with its own technology of water electrolysis, as well as equipment, engineering and technical services for installations electrolysis of water, which will be operated by Air Products.

"Our technology is the electrolysis of water are the key to connect renewable energy sources in transport and other industries. As a leader in the global market of electrolysis, we offer both the technology and the established supply chain of one gigawatt power electrolysis in the year," says Denis Crude, CEO of Thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers.

Thyssenkrupp has installed about 600 of electrochemical plants electrolysis of hydrogen worldwide, with a total capacity of over 10 gigawatts and has in-depth knowledge in planning and operation of these installations.

the Goal of both companies is to to make cost-effective projects related to the use of "green" hydrogen is feasible on an industrial scale with low investment and operating costs, reliable technology and effective project management.

this week Thyssenkrupp savil about reaching a watershed moment in the use of renewable energy sources: technology of water electrolysis, developed specifically for hydrogen production, which is planned to replace natural gas in metallurgical processes, meets the requirements for participation in the energy market.

Earlier it was reported that Thyssenkrupp and RWE planiruyut build company for commercial hydrogen production for use in the blast furnace plant in Duisburg.
