From January 1 to October 31, 2021, the enterprises of the Ostchem nitrogen holding company manufactured and shipped 283,576 cubic meters of medical oxygen to doctors. During this period, the volume of production of medical oxygen at the enterprises of Dmitry Firtash increased 15.5 times.
Currently, Ostchem medical oxygen is shipped to hospitals in seven regions of Ukraine.
In October, there was a significant increase in the production of medical oxygen: the total volume of oxygen production at all plants of the Ostchem holding reached 90,756 cubic meters, which is 3.1 times higher than in September 2021.
“The algorithm of interaction with the authorities has been completely worked out. We provide medical oxygen at the disposal of the Ministry of Health, in turn, the Ministry coordinates the distribution of cylinders to hospitals. The directors of our factories personally coordinate the supply of oxygen with the mayors and chairmen of the Regional State Administration. All manufactured medical oxygen, by the decision of the shareholder Group DF, is supplied to medical institutions free of charge. Chemists work together with doctors 24/7, ”comments Oleg Arestarkhov, head of the corporate communications department at Group DF.
According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (protocol decision of October 11, 2021), the required design oxygen flow during the peak period in the country is 970,496.5 liters per minute. To provide such an oxygen flow, 1,750.219 cubic meters per day or 623,077.9 cubic meters per hour are needed.
