The Metinvest Group of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky made a decision to partially withdraw Zaporizhstal's subdivisions from the hot mothballing regime. The press service of Metinvest reported that the inflation of blast furnaces No. 3 and 4 had begun.
“Zaporizhstal is working. We have completed a partial reactivation of production facilities in order to revive production. The main motive that made us rekindle the blast furnace is the flame that also burns in the hearts of our team. Our people strive not only to help on the humanitarian front, but also on the economic one. Zaporizhstal workers are ready to work, although we understand that in our time it will be extremely difficult. But we will cope with everything: we will win the war, we will rebuild the cities, we will start working at 100%," the press service of the Zaporozhye Metallurgical Plant said.
Recall that since March 2, due to the aggravation of hostilities in the region, the Metinvest group has transferred part of the equipment of the Zaporizhstal plant to the hot conservation mode.
