In connection with the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine, the Metinvest group of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky decided to pay in advance the wages to their Ukrainian employees, which they received on February 24 in the amount of the previously paid advance.
In addition, the Metinvest Group has decided to lay off employees of the Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal, who are not involved in maintaining production facilities in the hot conservation mode. Wages for downtime will be accrued while maintaining the full size of the official salary.
Recall that from February 24, the Metinvest group transferred part of the equipment Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works and Azovstal into hot conservation mode, which will last seven days. Decisions on the further mode of operation will be made depending on the current situation.
Metinvest's enterprises are the most protected places - shelters with provisions, medicines and necessary communications are equipped. In the event of an escalation of the situation, immediate supervisors will notify employees of the need to proceed to the shelter.
