In the four months since the beginning of 2023, Ukrainian ferrous metallurgy enterprises have exported about 300 thousand tons of semi-finished steel.

In January-April 2023, Ukraine reduced the export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in physical terms by 3.9 times compared to the same period last year - to 296.132 thousand tons.

According to statistics published by the State by the customs service of Ukraine, in monetary terms, the export of semi-finished products from carbon steel for this period amounted to 158.256 million dollars, having decreased by 4.5 times.

The main export of Ukrainian semi-finished steel products was carried out to Poland (40.53% of deliveries in monetary terms in terms), Bulgaria (15.87%) and the Dominican Republic (9.21%).

In January-April, Ukraine imported 72 tons of semi-finished products from China worth $133,000.

As reported, Ukraine in 2022 reduced the export of semi-finished products from carbon steel in physical terms by 72% compared to the previous year - up to 1 million 899.729 thousand tons, in monetary terms by 70.9% - up to 1 billion 191.279 million dollars .
