In January 2024, the Zaporizhstal plant produced 261 thousand tons of cast iron, 235.5 thousand tons of steel, and shipped 196 thousand tons of rolled products.
Increase in production level in January 2024 compared to the same period last year of the year is associated with the removal of blast furnace No. 2 from hot preservation mode and the debugging of the operating mode of three blast furnaces from March 2023.
We would like to remind you that in 2023 the plant operated at an average of 70% of its capacity. In 2023, the Zaporizhstal plant produced 2.7 million tons of cast iron, 2.5 million tons of steel, and shipped more than 2 million tons of rolled products.
