the development Team of new products ArcelorMittal in Spain have been exploring the potential of 3D printing for steel making. Last week they used their experience in the development of a prototype of the machine for artificial lung ventilation (ALV).

As noted in the company in the coming days, the ventilator will be checked at the hospital to get medical confirmation of its use. Work is also underway to establish a supply chain needed to start 3D printing of the ventilator, so they could be used by those who need them most and facilitated the work of the health workers.

in Addition to the printing of the ventilator, the Spanish health authorities got in touch with the team at ArcelorMittal research and development to find out if they can develop 3D protective mask for health workers.

"in Just two days, our team designed and started printing a protective mask used by medical personnel in Spanish hospitals. Currently we are working with external partners, including Santander, to provide large-scale production of these facial flaps", - told in ArcelorMittal.
