Private joint stock company "Zaporozhtransformator" (ZTR) has signed a contract for the supply of autotransformers for Georgia in the framework of reconstruction of substation 500 kV network. The end Customer of the equipment is performed by JSC "Georgian state electric system".
Under the terms of the contracts ZTR will supply two autotransformer 167 MVA/500 kV for substation "Rustavi-500", and autotransformer 267 MVA/500 kV for substation "Gardabani-500".
in Addition to PJSC "Zaporozhtransformator" in the tender was attended by the Chinese and Russian manufacturers of transformer equipment, but the best quote and the fact that PJSC "ZTR" has established itself on the Georgian market as a manufacturer of high-quality and reliable equipment, were decisive when choosing a Supplier.
In the preparation of the tender process ZTR had to face several difficulties, one of which was that the whole tender documentation is issued only in Georgian language. However, this did not prevent ZTR to win a landslide victory in the Georgian tender.
At the moment it is developing the design documentation for this project. Shipment of equipment is planned in the 4th quarter of 2020.
This is not the first delivery of transformers for Georgia. Last year ZTR has successfully put the block transformer 125МВА for a Dynamic Cascade HPP.
