A product from the Azerbaijani ATEF Group plant was installed in the workplace using a specially built gantry crane.

During the reconstruction of the Kanevskaya hydroelectric power station, a giant transformer was moved

At Kanevskaya HPP, a block power transformer T-5 weighing 115 tons was moved and installed on the workplace for further installation and commissioning. The contractors, along with the station staff, moved the transformer to the workplace using a purpose-built gantry crane.

In the future, all the necessary installation and commissioning work will be carried out, because a power transformer is a device that converts voltage from 6.3 kV to 110 kV.

“This event is very important for the station, since the power block transformer is an important component of the unit as a whole. Thus, installing it in the workplace brings the start-up of hydroelectric units No. 17, 18, 19, 20 closer to the grid, "said Alexander Zhornovy, Deputy Director for Reconstruction of Kanevskaya HPP.

Let us remind you that all work on the reconstruction of equipment at Kanevskaya HPP is carried out within the framework of the project "Rehabilitation of Hydroelectric Power Plants", co-financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank.

Kanevskaya HPP is the second stage of a cascade of hydroelectric power plants on the territory of Ukraine, in the city of Kanev, Cherkasy region, built on the Dnieper River and part of Ukrhydroenergo.
