ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih continues to purchase new heavy-duty equipment from BelAZ. The company received three new dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 136 tons - UAH 97.9 million was allocated for their purchase.
Over the past five years, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has purchased 26 BelAZ mining dump trucks, thanks to which the fleet of heavy equipment has been updated by more than half. At present, the mining department of the enterprise uses 30 dump trucks, 7 irrigation machines and 1 wheeled bulldozer manufactured by the BelAZ company. By the end of 2020, two more new dump trucks will be put into operation, which are now in the assembly stage.
Igor Bondar, head of the BelAZ distribution network in Ukraine:
- Over the past few years, we have been actively cooperating with ArcelorMittal. This year we signed a contract for the supply of five modern high-performance dump trucks. The average operating time of the BelAZ dump truck is from 70 to 80 thousand kilometers per year, the machine works 24 hours a day, 30 days a month. The new dump trucks fully comply with high safety and environmental standards, provide a comfortable work for the operator.

- Since 2006, ArcelorMittal's investments in the mining segment of the enterprise have already reached UAH 10.5 billion. Our investment program provides, in particular, a large-scale renewal of mining equipment. This allows not only to maintain the required volumes of ore extraction and concentrate production, but also to gradually increase them. This has a positive effect on the efficiency of the enterprise as a whole. The BelAZ company is our long-term and reliable partner, we will continue this cooperation in the future.
