In 2020, the company acquired two MAZ dump trucks, as well as a MAZ flatbed vehicle equipped with a cargo platform with a crane-manipulator installation. Dump trucks with a lifting capacity of 25 tons each transport the necessary cargo and equipment. And with the help of a crane-manipulator installed on a new onboard vehicle, loading and unloading can be carried out directly on site, without the use of other lifting equipment. The lifting capacity of the boom is 6 tons, and at the maximum outreach (10.3 m) - 1 ton 430 kg. In the near future, it is also planned to purchase a heavy semi-trailer with a carrying capacity of 60 tons for technological transportation at the sites of steel production, two dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 20 tons and two road combined machines. The total cost of these cars is UAH 16.4 million.
The company also plans to purchase a Maximal forklift truck with a lifting capacity of 5 tons for servicing technological processes in the converter shop (moving molds for cooling metal and lining bricks) worth UAH 1.5 million.
Currently, the vehicle fleet of the transport department of the enterprise is 556 units of various vehicles. More than half of them are passenger vehicles of various capacities. For passenger transportation, the company this year purchased three new shift trucks based on the MAZ truck worth UAH 7.8 million. They are designed to safely transport mining department workers to excavators, drill rigs, crushing plants and other quarry jobs. By the end of this year, the company plans to purchase two new MAZ passenger buses for timely delivery of personnel to the workplace.
The investment program "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" also provides for a large-scale upgrade of the technological vehicles of the mining department. In 2020, the company received five new BelAZ dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 136 tons, and UAH 170 million was spent on their purchase. Over the past five years, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih has purchased 31 BelAZ mining dump trucks, thanks to which the fleet of heavy equipment has been updated more than half.
Among the recent acquisitions is the KrAZ off-road vehicle for the transportation of spare parts and mining equipment. Its cost is UAH 2.1 million. In addition, in 2020, a new combined road vehicle MAZ worth UAH 2.4 million was put into operation. Replaceable equipment of this machine allows to ensure safety on the roads in winter by adding sand-salt mixture and cleaning the road surface from snow, and in summer it helps to carry out dust suppression on the roads of quarries and dumps.
