According to preliminary data of Ukrmetallurgprom, in January 2021 it was produced:
- pig iron 1.82 million tons (105.1% versus January 2020),
- steel 1.84 million tons (99.9%),
- rolled stock 1.66 million tons (98.8%).
Earlier it was reported that the metallurgical plants of Ukraine in 2020 smelted 20.55 million tons of steel, which is 1.4% less than in 2019. Pig iron production in Ukraine in 2020 increased by 1.5% and amounted to 20.36 million tons. The production of finished rolled metal products increased by 0.7% to 18.34 million tons.
