At Severny GOK, Metivest companies are implementing modern energy efficient projects. New technologies ensure lower energy consumption and lower production costs.
To eliminate energy losses in the shops of SevGOK, modern electrical equipment and lamps are used. Large-scale projects for the installation of LED lamps were completed at two crushing and processing plants, in the pellet production workshop # 1.
In just two years, 9,000 lamps have been replaced. The transition to LED lamps with a luminous efficiency of 120 lm /W provided good visibility at workplaces, allowed to reduce electricity consumption by 2 million kW /h annually.
Modern approaches of the power industry are also used by the enterprises when operating excavators. In the Annovskoye quarry, the generator-motors with high power consumption were replaced with thyristor converters.
“Thanks to the use of innovative technologies, implementation of operational improvements in 2020, SevGOK managed to reduce energy consumption and increase the efficiency of equipment performance. This year the plant will continue the transition of its structural divisions to LED lighting. At the ore processing plants, we will install frequency converters on pumping equipment, electronic control systems at the filtration section, ”said Roman Sereda, Engineering Director of Severny GOK.
