In March 2021, the metallurgical plant Zaporizhstal of the Metinvest group of companies produced 394.3 thousand tons of pig iron (110.8% against March 2020), 343.7 thousand tons of steel (114.1% against March 2020 year) and 291.5 thousand tons of finished rolled products (124.6% by March 2020).
Higher indicators in March 2021 compared to the same period last year are due to the shutdown of blast furnace No. 5 in 2020 for major repairs.
From January to March 2021, 1 million 164.3 thousand tons of pig iron was produced (103.4% against January-March 2020), 1 million 002.6 thousand tons of steel (104.4% against January-March 2020), 855.5 thousand tons of finished rolled products (107.2% compared to January - March 2020).
