Cooperation of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine with Microsoft will assist the energy sector in introducing innovative technologies, analytics and collaboration tools in the industry.

Ministry of Energy of Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Microsoft

On May 28, within the framework of EnergyDay UA, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization Yevgeny Vladimirov and Director of Microsoft Ukraine Jan Peter De Jong solemnly signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum provides for the possibility of cooperation in the field of IT modernization, digitalization of information systems of institutions, increasing the level of cybersecurity of industry enterprises.

“I am convinced that cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine and Microsoft is an important step for the energy industry. The introduction of innovative technologies will help improve the efficiency of the Ministry of Energy and, accordingly, improve the management of the industry as a whole. We also expect from our joint work with Microsoft Ukraine to increase the level of cybersecurity of the Ministry. I am grateful to Microsoft Ukraine for its readiness to join the development of the energy industry ", - noted Evgeniy Vladimirov.

It is assumed that the cooperation of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine with Microsoft will contribute to the energy sector in the introduction of innovative technologies, analytics and collaboration tools in the industry; exchange of expertise for the implementation of international programs and standards in the areas of cybersecurity and cyber defense, as well as for the introduction of cloud technologies.

On behalf of Microsoft Ukraine, Director Jan Peter De Jong noted that modern technologies open up great opportunities for the development of digital interaction between government bodies and society.

“Microsoft has a long history of helping government agencies around the world to digitally transform them while maintaining a high level of security. We are committed to continuing to partner with all of our users, including those in the energy sector, to help them meet today's business needs. At the same time, we plan to innovate to meet business demand for a zero-carbon future, ”commented De Jong.
