Today for 66 first-year students of the Technical University of UMMC from different cities of the company's presence on the basis of the copper electrolysis workshop of JSC Uralelectromed (an enterprise of the metallurgical complex of UMMC), “Dedication to students ".
During the work of the university, its own traditions have already developed. The leaders of the enterprise and the university spoke to the children, noting the peculiarity and importance of practical training of students, which allows them from the first year to accumulate not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical experience.

The apotheosis of the event was the launch of the cathode stripping machine groups by the elders. By pressing the now symbolic start button, students launched not only the technological process, but also a new stage in their lives.
Freshmen left their signatures on the cathodes, adopted the Code of Honor of a student of TU UMMC. Director of the Technical University Vyacheslav Lapin presented the students with "copper dimes" as a symbol of dedication. “This event will be remembered for the rest of your life, because today you are part of the big friendly family of the UMMC,” he said to the freshmen. - You need to become superspecialists in the next four years so that you won't be offended by the wasted time. There is only one life, guys, so I would like to wish you to be both thoughtful and serious, and really do not miss out on the huge set of positive emotions that student life gives. I congratulate you on today's holiday and joining our large UMMC family. ”
This is already the sixth initiation into the students of the Technical University. Since 2013, more than 400 full-time graduates have graduated from the Technical University in the following areas:

- Automation of technological processes and production
- Power engineering and electrical engineering
- Technological machines and equipment
- Economics
- Management
Currently studying at the university almost 700 future professionals not only for UMMC, but for the entire mining industry.
