In the period from 2018 to 2025, the expenses of PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works for the implementation of environmental initiatives will exceed 38 billion rubles. This will make it possible to multiply the emissions of the most dangerous pollutants by 2025.
A set of measures to improve the environmental performance of coke production is part of the investment program of PJSC MMK. To this end, in the next few years, a global modernization will be carried out at the coke-chemical production of the plant.
The task of the survey was to determine the technical condition of production facilities - coke oven batteries, service machines, capture shops, extinguishing systems, coal and coke preparation plants - in terms of technological indicators and environmental impact to assess the current situation and issuing recommendations for maintenance and repairs, determining the optimization potential and additional measures for environmental protection.
As part of the inspection, in addition to taking the necessary measurements, studying the materials provided by MMK and visual inspection, unmanned technologies were used for diagnostics of production facilities in hard-to-reach places and in real time.
The results of the survey and expert analysis of the results of the flights of the unmanned vehicle will be summarized in a report, which is currently being worked on by thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions specialists. In addition, recommendations will be developed regarding immediate and long-term measures to maintain and extend the life of coke oven batteries and other production facilities, as well as proposals to improve the environmental performance of the enterprise.
