The UMMC program for the development of children's sambo in the cities of the company's presence, as well as the all-Russian project “Sambo to school”, which is supported by metallurgists and the UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma), have come to Sukhoi Log again. The day before, a renovated sambo hall was opened here in secondary school No. 17. At their disposal, the children received from UMMC and the club of the same name a professional carpet, equipment and necessary sports equipment. The diaries of the young sambist, which are published annually at the beginning of September by the UMMC CS, became a pleasant addition. They were presented by the deputy general director of the club, five-time world champion Ilya Khlybov, who once started his career in Sukhoi Log.
In addition to the renowned athlete, the deputy head of Sukhoi Log Viktor Igonin, the head of the local education department Yulia Berseneva and the general director of the UMMC Sambo Club Valery Stennikov congratulated schoolchildren on the new premises and the new season. It is planned that in the near future up to 50 people aged seven and over will be able to train in the new gym under the supervision of an experienced coach.

There is always the opportunity, even at recess, to run, tinker, work out some techniques. It's great that the guys are involved in sports and a healthy lifestyle. And some of the current boys and girls, perhaps, will grow into a famous athlete.
Let us remind you that thanks to the UMMC program for the development of children's sambo, which has been operating since 2017, the section at school # 17 has become already the third in the Sukholozhsky region. In addition, during the work of the program in the Sverdlovsk region, equipment and equipment were purchased for two sections in secondary schools of Verkhnyaya Pyshma and one hall in a local children's and youth sports school, two halls were opened in two secondary schools of Kirovgrad, a section appeared in Nevyansk, halls were opened in two schools at once and House of Sports in Serov, section in the Revda school. Last year, the program stepped beyond the Central Urals with the opening and equipping of sambo gyms in Mednogorsk (Orenburg region), Shadrinsk (Kurgan region) and Vladikavkaz (RNO-Alania).
To date, the program covers four regions, nine cities, the total number of halls and sections has already reached 17, and the number of those engaged in them has exceeded 1200 people.
