TMK awarded MISIS students with Alexander Deineko scholarships

The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) presented certificates of awarding the Alexander Deineko Scholarship to students of the National Research University of Technology (NUST) MISIS. Scholarships are awarded to students who consistently achieve high results in academic and research activities.

This year, the winners of the scholarship were students of the Institute of Environmental Technologies and Engineering: second-year undergraduates Sofya Gunderova and Anna Khakimova, studying in the fields of "Deformation processing of metals" and "Engineering Management of Equipment and Technologies", respectively, as well as first-year undergraduate Sofya Rosolenko, studying in the profile of "Deformation processing of metals and alloys".

Their candidacies were put forward by the Academic Council of the MISIS Department of Metalworking, noting their excellent academic performance, participation in specialized events and projects, research work and publications in reputable journals and collections. Denis Dom, Deputy General Director and Technical Director of the TMK Scientific and Technical Center, presented them with certificates of scholarship award as part of the Student's Day celebrations.

"Cooperation with specialized higher education institutions is one of the priorities of the TMK research unit. We support young professionals who demonstrate a high level of training, involvement in scientific activities and interest in the development of engineering competencies. A nominal scholarship is not only a form of encouragement for the achieved results, but also an additional opportunity to start fruitful cooperation with the company," Denis Dom said.

The scholarship was established by TMK in 2013 in order to support and encourage talented students of NUST MISIS. It is named in memory of Alexander Dmitrievich Deineko, Honored Metallurgist of the Russian Federation, laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation, graduate of MISIS in 1971, head of the Pipe Industry Development Fund from 2003 to 2013.
