The Pipe Metallurgical Company (TMK) creates all conditions for visiting industrial tourism facilities for families with children and organizes thematic programs for this category of guests. This was stated by Anna Trepalova, head of TMK's industrial tourism department, during a speech at the IV Ural Women's Forum in Yekaterinburg.
Taking part in the discussion "A woman in art: creator, muse and mother", Anna Trepalova presented the key objects of TMK's industrial tourism. The Severskaya Blast Furnace Museum complex, located on the territory of the Seversk Pipe Plant (STZ, a branch of TMK) in Polevskoye, has been awarded the honorary title "Property of the Middle Urals" since 2025, which confirms its importance for preserving the industrial and cultural heritage of the region. The Pervouralsky Novotrubny Plant Museum and Exhibition Center (PNTZ, TMK branch) is an important element of the industrial route "The Pipe is calling!", which introduces visitors to the history of the company, modern production technologies and industrial design.
In her report, Anna Trepalova paid special attention to the experience of TMK corporate museums in developing family visiting formats. The Seversk Blast Furnace and the PNTZ Museum and Exhibition Center have developed special programs for children and parents. They include theatrical excursions, creative workshops, musical performances, as well as interactive classes where visitors can get acquainted with traditional metallurgical professions, for example, try themselves as a blacksmith or a coiner.
"TMK's corporate museums are an important element of the company's social and cultural mission. When creating exhibitions, we strive to combine industrial heritage with modern museum technologies, preserving authentic artifacts and making them understandable and interesting for visitors of different ages. In developing family programs, the emphasis is on fostering interest in the Ural identity and industrial history, and introducing children to metallurgy in an accessible and interactive format," said Anna Trepalova.
The IV Ural Women's Forum was held in Yekaterinburg under the slogan "Creating life". The program of the event included nine thematic tracks on issues of culture, education, healthcare, economics and social policy. The forum brought together more than 5,000 participants and speakers. TMK presented its experience in organizing family programs as part of the development of industrial tourism
