the Open championship of Russia of a name of Natalia Molchanova took place in Moscow according to the rules of AIDA. For four days athletes competed in the static breath-hold, diving in length monolete, classic with fins and without fins. This year the competition was attended by 60 of the best freedivers from all over Rossii.
– on the first day was my "crown" type of competition – static breath holding. Most focused on the attempt, which was successful. Stopwatch stopped at 8 minutes, 50 seconds – a new record! Your personal record, I managed to improve by 10 seconds, and the best Russian achievement by 2 seconds. My opponent showed the result of 8 minutes and took the second place, – Alexander told Maksimov.
In the following days the participants competed in the dynamic disciplines, which were established two national records and one world. Alexander was able to enter the top three in the classic diving fins. In the other two types was the fifth. Following the results of competitions Maksimov made it to the national team of Russia for participation in the next World Championship in freediving.
