Severstal supported the opening of the exhibition "the train"
the Cherepovets Museum Association and the Northern railway. Exposition
dedicated to the heroism of the military doctors and railway workers and dedicated to 75th
anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war.
the Exhibition is a recreated of the great Patriotic war
war period rail way station Cherepovets on which you have installed the
Soviet mainline freight locomotive and two carriages.
the installation Location of the exhibition was not chosen randomly. For Cherepovets is a landmark
place: during the war the city launched its activities evacuation point
which was taken by railway more than 1,500 trains with the wounded, and
evacuated. From July 1941 to March 1943 through the evacuation center.
it has been over 2 million evacuated.
the exhibition tells of the military-sanitary trains, including
the legendary train No. 312, which in the first days of the war on 26 June 1941, was
formed and sent to the front with a steam locomotive and coach repairing Vologda
plant. These trains were actually hospitals on wheels: they are soldiers not
only transported hospitals in the rear, but also treated.
In the same car (model 1937), which was part of the permanent
military-sanitary trains, decorated part of the interior specialized
wagon: wagon-pharmacies operational, staff, business etc. the Basis
of the exposition of the Fund collection of the Cherepovets Museum Association.
Some of the items donated to the Museum by not indifferent citizens. Some of the furniture and
equipment manufactured according to the drawings of the time, objects (tables, cabinets
Museum collections) has been restored preserving the historical detail,
materials and instruments.
the Exposition will be completely ready by 9 may, and for the first visitors it
appears after the removal of restrictive quarantine measures.
