Vice Prime Minister appreciated the unique project "Attraction"

Press Releases
The Vice Prime Minister was accompanied on a working trip by the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Urals Federal District Vladimir Yakushev and Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexei Teksler. The guests got acquainted with the progress of the project to create the Attraction park in Magnitogorsk. The project is being implemented on the initiative and with the support of Viktor Rashnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC MMK. The integrated development of the territory belonging to the plant with an area of about 400 hectares is planned. Key construction projects for the new park include a museum and educational complex, an indoor children's amusement park, a 50-meter swimming pool with a fitness center, an indoor ice arena and a 4-star hotel. In addition, a landscaped park area with an artificial reservoir will be created. A modern multidisciplinary medical center will also appear on the territory under development.

As noted by Viktor Rashnikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC MMK, today both the plant and the city have entered a very significant period of their development, and not only large-scale modernization at MMK is on the agenda. “We are concerned not only with production issues. We are equally interested in the qualitative development of the urban environment, in creating truly comfortable conditions for life and recreation for all Magnitogorsk residents without exception. We are undoubtedly glad that the "Attraction" project has received serious federal and regional support. At the federal level, the project for large-scale modernization of Magnitogorsk airport was also approved, ”said Viktor Rashnikov.

As part of the visit, distinguished guests also visited the production site of PJSC MMK, where they got acquainted with the operation of the modernized blast furnace No. 2, as well as the modern rolling complexes of the plant - a hot plate mill 5000 and a cold rolling mill 2000. It was noted that the main focus of technical re-equipment at MMK was placed on achieving environmental safety and using the best available technologies. The same goals are being solved by the new production complexes of PJSC MMK, presented to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin: the already built sinter plant No. 5, the coke oven battery No. 12 under construction, as well as the new blast furnace planned for construction.

Upon completion of the visit, Marat Khusnullin thanked Viktor Rashnikov for the implemented and promising projects and noted: “I am delighted with what I saw, the scale of what has been done - both in metal production and construction. This is a colossal investment, a lot of work. " Victor Rashnikov, in turn, thanked Marat Khusnullin, Vladimir Yakushev and Alexey Teksler for all-round assistance, thanks to which Magnitogorsk is reaching a new level of its economic and social development.
