A new crushing complex was put into operation at the underground mine of Gaysky GOK

Gai (Orenburg region)

At the underground mine of the Gaysky GOK (an enterprise of the raw materials complex of UMMC), a crushing complex No. 13 was put into operation.

The crushing complex operates in a semi-automatic mode and is included in a unified technological chain with other facilities of the "Ore tract-2". The rock mass will be transported through it from deep horizons before loading into the skips of the "Operational" mine, operating today with a load of 3.75 million tons of ore per year.

The launch of the crushing complex No. 13 makes it possible to carry out uninterrupted operation of the batching and loading complex of the shaft of the mine "Operation".

DK-13 includes a complex of ore passes with bunkers of uncrushed ore, scrapers for crushing oversized pieces, a plate feeder where crushed ore is accumulated, a Metso jaw crusher. All this equipment is involved in crushing and grinding ore to a fraction of no more than 300 millimeters - this is the optimal size of pieces of ore for transportation along a conveyor and loading into skips.

From DK-13, the conveyor delivers crushed ore to the bunker of the batching chamber, where the ore is loaded into skips. An iron separator is installed above the conveyor belt, thanks to which, during the movement along the conveyor, the crushed ore is "controlled" for the content of foreign metal objects. In addition, at the place of pouring ore, aspiration chambers are installed to collect dust.

The crushing complex is serviced by the section of underground conveyor transport No. 18 of the underground mine.

“The capacity of the crushing complex is 560-600 thousand tons ore per hour. The annual capacity of DK-13 is about 1.238 million tons of ore. The commissioning of one more crushing complex also makes it possible to carry out scheduled preventive repairs of bunkers, bypass raises, equipment of other crushing chambers and the entire complex, "says site manager Alexei Skorokhod.

Construction of crushing and conveyor complex No. 13 was carried out by the forces of the underground sections of capital mining and tunneling works No. 2 and No. 3, the underground section of installation works No. 5 of the Mine Construction Department.

"Crushing complex No. 13 belongs to the second stage of construction of" Ore Trakt-2 "to the shaft of the mine "Operational". In general, according to the project, the crushing and conveyor complex "Rudny trakt-2" will consist of two main conveyors, 6 section conveyors, 8 crushing complexes and a blending hopper with a feeder chamber for separating ore streams, "said Chief Engineer of ShSU Boris Fayzullin.

In total, the miners of the mine have commissioned more than 10 crushing complexes at different horizons of the underground mine.

Note: In addition to the Gaysky GOK, in the Orenburg region there are such enterprises of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company as

LLC "Orenburg radiator" (Orenburg), specializing in the development, implementation and serial production of radiator products.

LLC "Mednogorsk copper-sulfuric plant" (Mednogorsk), specializing in the production of rough copper.

PJSC "Gaysky GOK", (city of Gai), specializing in the extraction of copper-pyrite ore by underground and open-pit methods and its processing at its own processing plant.
