The most massive portrait of a modern factory worker was created in the Urals

Three and a half thousand factory workers became heroes of one photo album. A special edition of 400 images was released by JSC Uralelectromed (an enterprise of the UMMC metallurgical complex) in honor of its 85th anniversary. In the anniversary project, the creative group tried to create a collective image of an employee of a modern enterprise.

“This approach helped us to visually show the present day of our plant and express our gratitude for the conscientious work of employees - professionals in their field. These people shape the present and create the future of the Ural metallurgy, ”said Dmitry Galenkovsky, HR Director of Uralelectromed JSC, head of the editorial board.

The album contains 25 sections (according to the number of workshops, divisions and branches of the enterprise). The main block in each one is photographs of shop workers, made in the classic reportage style.

The photographs are accompanied by signatures with the names and surnames of the people imprinted on them, if any, honorary titles or state awards are indicated. The publication also features 38 collective photographs. A snapshot of the largest team of 299 people was taken at the Polymetals Production Branch (Kirovgrad).

Sections open with business card photographs that convey not only the power and manufacturability, but also the beauty of modern production created by the heroes of the anniversary edition.

To complete the task, the photographer took from 70 to 120 images for each illustration, and then colored and mounted them. Most of the footage was taken in the evening and at night.

Another "highlight" of the album is infographics, in an accessible and engaging form telling about the work of the shops and their production achievements. On average, it took about 16 hours to create one such illustration.

Working on the photo album “Our people. Our time ”took almost five months. The project was actively attended by the heads of all departments and divisions of the enterprise. An unprecedented number of factory workers got to the pages of the publication - about 43% of the entire team. The holiday album has been released in 2000 copies.
