Fuel pressure regulators for internal combustion engines

The use of internal combustion engines to perform certain technological operations requires their operation in appropriate and strictly regulated modes. A change in the parameters (speed) of shaft rotation can occur as a result of pressure fluctuations in the fuel supply system. This leads to a technological failure or equipment stoppage. To eliminate the occurrence of such problems, use a fuel pressure regulator, which:

  1. Installed directly into the pipeline.
  2. Has a certain throughput (volume of fuel per unit of time).
  3. Equipped with a membrane that regulates the level set by the operator pressure.

Such regulators have a return outlet and, in the event of pressure surges, redirect excess fuel back to the tank. Adjustment of the required parameters can be carried out without dismantling the unit from the fuel system.

Main advantages of use in practice

Smooth engine operation, supported by a stable fuel supply through the pressure regulator, has a number of advantages. These include:

  1. Increasing the engine life of the power unit.
  2. Reducing the cost of purchasing fuel due to greater efficiency.
  3. Increasing environmental friendliness due to reduced emissions combustion products into the atmosphere.

Such pressure regulators can be installed in fuel systems as mandatory equipment. Or used as additional devices to improve operating efficiency.

Use of branded regulators

Fuel pressure regulators commercially produced by well-known manufacturers meet the necessary performance and reliability parameters. They have an established quality guarantee. They are hermetically fixed in the fuel system and are resistant to vibration and temperature changes. In the technical description for each model, the manufacturer indicates:

  1. The type of fuel for which the regulator is designed to work.
  2. Weight and external dimensions of the product.
  3. Permissible internal pressure load and maximum throughput.

Recommendations are given on the installation method and maintenance during operation. You can select the required product taking into account the requirements of the equipment developer and the fuel system. If necessary, advice can be obtained by contacting a full-time specialist of a company that directly supplies this type of units to the domestic market.
