The Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine has published a forecast for the production of ferrous metallurgy products in 2019.
Based on the indicators of 9 months from the beginning of the year, it is expected that Ukrainian steelworks will increase steel production by 4% compared to 2018 - up to 21.927 million tons, increase the production of general rolled products by 3%, to 18.842 million tons and raise pig iron smelting by 1%, to 20.690 million tons.
Pipe production in 2019 in Ukraine may grow by 5%, to 1.079 million tons, coke production will decrease by 5% - to 10.305 million tons, and hardware production will remain at the level of 186 thousand tons.
Mining companies of Ukraine, as expected by the Ministry of Economic Development, can increase the production of iron ore by 4% - up to 75.899 million tons, raise the output of iron ore concentrate by 5%, to 63.273 million tons and increase the production of prepared iron ore - by 1%, to 53.376 million tons, including sinter production will remain at the level of the previous year - 31.7 million tons, and pellets will increase by 1% - up to 21.676 million tons.
