UN Secretary-General, antónio Guterres, welcomed the results of the meeting of the leaders of Germany, Russia, France and Ukraine, which took place on 9 December in Paris. About it reported in a press-service of the organization.
it is reported that at this meeting the President of the French Republic, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, the President of the Russian Federation and the President of Ukraine adopted the agreed conclusions of the Paris summit, which declared a common commitment "to the continuous and comprehensive architecture of security and trust in Europe based on the principles of the OSCE", as well as to the settlement of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine.
the Secretary-General expressed strong support for the UN leading role of member countries "channel four", the Trilateral contact group and Special OSCE monitoring mission of the OSCE in the framework of the Minsk agreements.
the UN chief called on all stakeholders, drawing on its recent successes to move towards resolution of the conflict. He reiterated that he fully supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
